On regional pole assignment in discrete-time system using linear quadratic regulator theory

Abstract

In this paper we present a simple method which places all the closed-loop poles of a discrete-time control system, inside a circle which maximizes the area within the logarithmic spiral corresponding to a damping ratio. An illustrative example is presented along with the proposed algorithm.
