Abstract
We investigate the possibility of dynamical symmetry breaking, that is the appearance of 〈φ{symbol}〉 ≠ 0 due to radiative corrections in scalar theory with the interaction λφ{symbol}4, scalar electrodynamics and non-Abelian gauge theories. We show that in the one-loop approximation at small coupling constant the dynamical symmetry breaking is absent and the only mechanism of spontaneous symmetry breaking remains the Goldstone-Higgs-Kibble effect.
