Abstract

In NQR, there are three terms in the signal irradiated by two-pulse sequence, in which echo signal and non-echo signal are mixed together. In order to acquire net NQR echo, the phase cycling of rf field and receiver has been suggested. The condition to acquire the echo of maximum intensity has been obtained. The spin-spin relaxation time of an NQR spin system can be measured easily and accurately with two-pulse sequence through phase cycling. Experimental results of typical samples NaNO2 and NaClO3 (observed nuclei: 14N and 35Cl) are in agreement with theoretical expectations.
