Abstract
Azoarenes react with Ru3(NArXCO)10 giving Ru3(NAr)(NAr‘XCO)9 in high yields. These bis(imido) clusters react with H2 to give H2Ru3(NAr)(NAr)(CO)8, which can be used to catalyze the hydrogenation of olefins.
