Abstract
The myocutaneous island pedicle sling flap allows for minimal distortion of the architecture for defects along the upper cutaneous lip involving the philtrum. Additional benefits of this technique include preservation of lip length, recreation of the Cupid's bow, appropriate matching of skin texture, and preservation of hair-bearing qualities.
