Abstract

Multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN) is a treatable disorder clinically resembling motor neuron disease but more analogous to chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy. MMN is defined by pure motor conduction block and may be associated with increased antiglycolipid antibodies. The pathogenesis is unknown, but the finding of inflammatory demyelination suggests an immune-mediated disorder.
