Minimizing the scaled Hilbert-Schmidt norm of a periodic system

Abstract

Minimizing the scaled Hilbert-Schmidt norm of an operator valued sampled-data transfer function is considered. It is demonstrated that the optimization reduces exactly to minimizing the scaled Frobenius norm of a particular matrix.
