Abstract
Polycrystalline sample of EuCr2Al20 was studied by means of x-ray powder diffraction, magnetization, electrical resistivity and heat capacity measurements. The compound was found to order antiferromagnetically at TN=4.8K due to the magnetic moments carried on divalent of Eu ions. The experimental findings are supported by the results of ab-initio band structure calculations.
