Abstract
The physicochemical properties of lignin samples are usually dominated by macromolecular assemblies of discrete components. The monomolecular film behaviour of various lignin derivatives has suggested that these associated complexes possess lamellar configurations. The validity of the proposition has been investigated by documenting the corresponding characteristics of paucidisperse poly(methylmethacrylate) fractions.
