Abstract

Bringing together individuals from cultural backgrounds with varied values and norms for expressing conflicting ideals can elevate the tensions inherent in participatory evaluation. As the authors of this chapter found out, even the most deliberate attention to cultural issues does not guarantee a smooth ride.
