N2 - The integration of a variety of projects in robotics in undergraduate curriculum is discussed. The description of an undergraduate project that culminated at the robot competition at the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence in August 1995 is also discussed. Building Device Drivers, a short project used in the course helps the students in learning machine architecture issues such as timing, interrupt handling and I/O system learning. Cooperation and Collaboration, a large project allowed students to apply material learned in data structures, systems software, and operating systems.
