N2 - The reaction of [Cp(CO)(Ph3P)FeCCH2]+ BF-4 with several hydrazine derivatives yielded the acetonitrile complex [Cp(CO)(Ph3P)Fe-NCCH3]+ BF-4 (4) (62-71%). The formation of this product is apparently the result of a facile Beckmann-type rearrangement.
