Abstract
In this note we summarize some results for a one dimensional inverse problem in geophysics obtained by generatizing some quantum scattering technique. The details will appear in 6].We consider the propagation of SH waves in a medium with deusity ρ and shear modulus μ and from experimental information at a point we can recover the product ρμ throughout,The equation is.
