Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depressed Adolescents (IPT-A) is a manualized, empirically-based treatment for adolescents with depression. IPT-A aims to mitigate depressive symptoms in adolescents by strengthening their interpersonal relationships and skills in a time-limited manner. This article discusses the theoretical and developmental contexts of IPT-A, a brief overview of how the intervention is conducted, its empirical support, and adaptations of IPT-A. Personalization and cultural considerations are also discussed.
