Influence of carbon on friction of CoCrPt-C nanogranular thin film

Abstract

A CoCrPt-C granular thin film has been used to demonstrate the approach to lubricant-free disk. It has been shown that these multilayers perform adjustable tribological properties and can be an attractive potential application for the ultrahigh areal density magnetic recording.
