Imaging of the Orbit

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

The ability to produce images of the orbit and periorbital regions has grown significantly. Most of these new imaging modalities are minimally invasive, and allow real time visualization of the orbit and surrounding tissues. Using computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), angiography, and diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) allow detailed analysis of the orbital tissues and structures. These advances in imaging have improved our ability to diagnose and treat changes in orbital structures.
