Abstract
The spatial and temporal rainfall characteristics influence the runoff hydrograph of a catchment, while accurate forecasting of precipitation is crucial to the prediction of floods and flash floods. This study presents a review of recent hydrologic advances in space-time rainfall modeling and forecasting. The strengths and weaknesses of the available models are discussed and directions for further research and improvements are given. -Authors
