Abstract
If events of the past year - high speed drives under $200, quality discs on any subject for a reasonable price - haven't convinced you that CD-ROM is more than a workhorse for databases and other reference materials, nothing will. We are finally over the hump with CD-ROM in terms of acceptance, pricing, and the marketplace. It's been a long process, with much bloodletting, but the benefits are apparent for everyone to enjoy.
