Abstract
Carbon monoxide adsorbent of high capacity and selectivity can be made by heating a mixture of a Cuprous compound with a support of high surface area. An adsorbent with 5.5 m mol Cu(I) supported on zeolite with faujusite structure can adsorb about 60 ml CO at room temperature and one atmosphere but very little H2, N2 and CH4. Isotherms, isobars and breakthrough curves for the adsorbent are given.
