High coercivity of CoCrPt-C nanogranular thin films for magnetic recording

Abstract

The highest coercivity of 4362 Oe was achieved in CoCrPt-C granular thin film media. This observation indicates that the system have a great potential for application in ultra high density magnetic recording.
