Abstract
The panelists discuss the anatomy and pathophysiology of hemorrhoids. Diagnostic issues are explored, and treatment is reviewed thoroughly. Panelists talk about topical remedies, dietary measures, and a range of old and new interventional methods. Hemorrhoidectomy indications and techniques are evaluated. The influence of special considerations (pregnancy, portal hypertension, and immunodeficiency) on management of hemorrhoids is discussed. Finally, varying views on the management of acute complications of hemorrhoids are shared.
