Haemodynamic Effects of β-Blockers

  • Jay N. Cohn

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The pharmacological effects of β- blockers have been well documented but there is still no clear picture of the integrated systemic haemodynamic response to adrenoceptor blockade. This response is reviewed and the changes in systemic vascular resistance in hypertensive patients and during exercise are analysed.
