Abstract

Studies, designed to delineate the portions of substance P (SP) molecule needed for reversal of GppNHP-induced inhibition of DAMGO binding, have shown that nanomolar concentrations of SP fragments containing the N-terminus of SP reduce both the K(d) and B(max) values of DAMGO binding to a high-affinity site.
