Abstract

It must be recognized that the future of our society lies with our children who, by virtue of being children, are left open to threat and abuse of power. Children are inherently at risk to those in authority, and failure to protect and advance the rights of children will come at a profound cost to our society’s future. This chapter summarizes the key stakeholders in the realization of children’s rights across the globe. From major global entities such as the United Nations to local community leaders, we as a society have a responsibility to ensure the protection of each child.
