Abstract
Sports pharmacy is an important aspect of comprehensive pharmaceutical care. One growing area is catering to nutritional requirements of the physically active individual. Other services include: exercise, nutrition, weight loss and changes in drug therapy needs: use of NSAIDs, corticosteroids and anabolic steroids in the treatment of sports injuries; and opportunities for the pharmacist to serve the drug therapy needs of athletes.
