Abstract
Spatiality has become a key factor in the economy, in pedagogy, and in the future of higher education. The idea of a "spatial university" has implications not only for how we teach, learn, and conduct research but also for how we organize knowledge, create new disciplines, and conceive of the world around us. Having, for centuries, expanded our knowledge through the printed word, we now have spatial computing and Geographic Information Science to help us visualize information and create new knowledge through often-unrecognized spatial relationships.
