Abstract

A framework for developing a conservation database using the convergence of technological developments in digital imaging, remote sensing, micro-computers, database management, geographic information systems, global positioning systems, communications and user interface software is proposed. Also describes a pilot project which developed the software for a geographically referenced visual/tabular conservation database for the lowlands of Nepal. -from Authors
