Abstract
The paper presents the results of laboratory and field studies conducted to determine the fracture efficiency of the cement. Laboratory tests were conducted in steel cylinders to determine the characteristics of the expansive pressures. Field tests investigated the fracture of intact dolomite blocks and a jointed-dolomite quarry bench. The data from these two testing programs are analyzed.
