Abstract
The Schools of Public Health and Nursing at the University of Minnesota developed and delivered a foundational public health informatics course to meet the Public Health Informatics and Technology (PHIT) workforce development program requirements. Twenty three students completed the training across programs within the University. Pre and posttest PHIT skills assessment showed significant increase (p<0.001) along with understanding data sources for population health. Feedback from this course will assist to bolster future offerings.
