Abstract

A microstrip ring filter leveraging the degenerate mode created by a stub on the ring is presented. This work uses a fluidic channel filled either with air, acetone, or deionized (DI) water at the end of the stub to vary the operating frequency. A frequency shift from 2.21 GHz to 1.79 GHz is observed.
