title = "Flow simulation of a tension cone inflatable aeroshell with fluid-structure interaction",
abstract = "A method for performing simulations of inflatable decelerators is produced by coupling a finite volume flow solver with a finite element membrane code, and demonstrated for a Tension Cone Inflatable Aeroshell Decelerator (IAD) at conditions of atmospheric entry. An algebraic grid deformation method is developed so that body-fitted grids can respond to surface motions. The simulation allows for heat flux to be transmitted through the IAD material. Temperature dependent material properties are included in the membrane model. I.",
