Abstract

A micromethod has been developed to assess intracellular killing of staphylococcus Cowan I by means of flow cytometry. Bacterial killing was estimated for 1 and 3 hours, granulocytes were destroyed by 0.2% saponin. Bactericidity was analysed by double label. Standards have been determined. The killing was inhibited by 0.1% sodium aside and was rather low in children with chronic granulomatous disease.
