Flap Striae

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

The presence of striae is a result of a mismatch between the corneal flap and the underlying stroma after the flap is replaced, or from the movement of the flap in the first week post-surgery. While some striae may be minor and do not affect vision, others can cause blurry vision and require prompt attention. This chapter showcases various cases to help readers identify these complications, as early detection and treatment are crucial for minimizing post operative irregular astigmatism and potential dissatisfaction from LASIK surgery.
