N2 - A study of 23 normotensive subjects illustrates the extent of variability in hyperbaric index (HBI) that can be encountered from profile to profile. From a total of 66 one-week-long around-the-clock profiles, the diagnosis based on the whole profile was compared with that based on successive individual 24-hour profiles. There is a good overall agreement for the midline estimating statistic of rhythm (MESOR) of heartrate.
