Abstract
The fatigue threshold increased as the temperature decreased from 300 K to 123 K. A closure was observed with the magnitude of closure stress intensity higher at lower temperature. The closure stress intensity is correlated with yield stress and grain size. By considering reverse slip, geometry, and oxide-induced closure simultaneously, a model is proposed.
