Abstract
Excel is a widely used tool that is well known in industry. Any additional add-in is easily accepted by Excel users. This chapter presents the use of SolverStudio as an optimization tool. It presents the way a problem is formulated and implemented. An industry-based example is used as a case study to show the capabilities of the tool for tactical planning of the operation of a facility.
