Abstract
Aluminosilicate ECR-1 zeolite with 12-membered channels was synthesized at 120°C for 4 d in the absence of organic templates. Compared with ECR-1 synthesized at 100°C for 14 d, the crystallization of ECR-1 at 120°C is very fast (4 d), which are reasonably related to their difference in synthesis mechanism (120°C: a spontaneous nucleation process; 100°C: a crystal transformation process). Furthermore, a series of techniques such as IR spectroscopy, N2 isotherm, SEM, ICP, 29Si NMR spectroscopy, and catalytic cracking of cymene were used to characterize ECR-1 zeolite. The results show that crystallization of ECR-1 is greatly impacted by the synthesis temperature under organic template-free condition. For its catalytic property, the one dimension channel was the reason for the fast deactivation.
