Abstract

The chapter will describe a clinical case where exchange transfusion is indicated for severe hyperbilirubinemia. The chapter will discuss the indications and risks-benefits of exchange transfusion and then will review how to set up and perform an exchange transfusion in a low-resource setting. Additional pearls and references for further learning are provided.
