Estimate of effective size of instantons

We study instanton contribution into the vacuum expectation value of the gluon field strength tensor squared, 〈O{divides}GμνaGμνa{div ides}O〉. The integral over instanton sizes ρ{variant} diverges at large ρ{variant}, where one-instanton approximation becomes invalid. Cutting the integration off at some ρ{variant}c and comparing the result with the phenomenological number for the vacuum expectation value we find ρ{variant}c∼ 1 200 MeV.
