Abstract
A summary of work related to modeling flows in erodible channels using minimum energy dissipation rate is given. Energy dissipation rate for sediment-laden flows is developed and used in a rill erosion model. The model is evaluated with a sensitivity analysis. Results indicate that the model is sensitive to changes in Manning's n with sediment load rate. This is a major limitation of the model.
