Abstract

The article discusses the collaborative debate project wherein students and teachers held a mock town meeting on prohibited books. The project based on role-play dramatization promoted engaged reading, research skill development, and empathic thinking. Topics include an overview of the role-play simulation, developing multiple viewpoints for diverse perspectives and the discussion on controversial issues.
