Abstract
INTRODUCTION With technological advances and enhancements in the design and development of endoscopy equipment, applications are growing. In parallel with this progress have been the training, experience, and familiarity with endoscopy of both practicing neurosurgeons and residents. The modern neuroendoscope in the hands of a properly trained neurosurgeon becomes a valuable tool with many uses. Neuroendoscopy also fits in with a growing trend toward minimal invasiveness with access and visualization through the smallest opening possible, greatest action at the point of interest, and minimal retraction and disruption of normal brain tissue.
