Abstract
Since the past 2-3 years, there has been wide publicity of variety of global sustainability issues across political and natural borders. The agricultural and biological engineers play a leading role in solving the problem of the global scenario. The training of engineers should be such to use the principles of science and engineering in improving societal and individual existence. The positioning of the agricultural and biological engineers are unique with over 100 years of experience. Engineers have been also involved in various international and local service projects with focus on increased sustainability with groups like EWB and ESW. Few working projects in 41 countries have taken place focusing on infusing sustainability into engineering education. The unique connection of the engineering profession with technology, food production, and natural resources provides an edge.
