Abstract
Because organizational communication has a closer relationship to critical theories than related fields in management, organizational communication has produced a significant amount of research about how bodies, difference, and power operate in organizations and through organizing. Importantly, organizational communication research on embodiment in work offers varied theories of how the relationship between physical and symbolic worlds can and should be conceptualized.
