Abstract

Arrays of palladium nanoparticles (Pd NPs) were fabricated on flexible single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) films, and the fabricated Pd NPs/SWCNT films were employed as electrodes for electrochemical glucose detection. Palladium particles with an average diameter of 20-40nm were distributed homogeneously on the SWCNT film. The Pd NPs/SWCNT electrode displayed a good detection limit of 3.4μM and two linear ranges for glucose concentration. Sensitivities were 313.9±4.8μA mM-1 cm-2 and 155.2±2.6μA mM-1 cm-2 respectively. Moreover, the Pd NPs/SWCNT showed high selectivity for glucose in the presence of L-ascorbic acid as an interfering compound.
