Abstract
CoCrPt/Ti magnetic thin films were investigated for the effects of postdeposition annealing on its structural properties. The improvement of squareness and out-of-plane coercivity resulted from the enhancement of both texture and crystallinity of the CoCrPt (002) peak. Through annealing, the Ti underlayer and the initial growth region of the CoCrPt layer improved in magnetic and structural properties. This showed that the initial growth region was predominant in controlling the texture and developement of long-range order (LRO) caused by annealing.
