Abstract

Laminar natural convection in a vertical rectangular cavity with a cold isothermal wall and an opposing heated wall with uniform heat generation has been studied using a two-dimensional finite difference procedure. The effects of heated wall emissivity and axial conduction were investigated using air as the fluid with the properties evaluated at 300 degree K.
