Abstract
In a study of the effect of feeding pancreas powder on the absorption of Fe59 by rats with fatty liver induced by choline deficiency, control groups fed bromelin and choline plus iron were studied in parallel. No significant depression of iron absorption was observed in any of these groups. Thus, pancreas extracts appeared unable to depress increased Fe59 absorption in rats with fatty liver induced by choline deficiency.
