Abstract
A dose related inhibition of the (Na + K) ATPase of canine heart sarcolemma was found in the presence of cyclic 3',5' AMP (maximal inhibition at 10-4 M cyclic AMP), while 5' AMP did not affect the enzyme. A similar inhibition of the ATPase was seen after incubation of the sarcolemma preparation with NaF adrenaline and theophylline. None of these substances affected the activity of the Ca++ stimulated ATPase.
