Abstract
AUTHORS' SYNOPSIS: A dose-related inhibition of the (Na+K)-ATPase of canine heart sarcolemma was found in the presence of cyclic 3', 5'-AMP (maximal inhibition at 10 -4 M cyclic AMP), while 5'-AMP did not affect the enzyme. A similar inhibition of the ATPase was seen after incubation of the sarcolemma preparation with NaF adrenaline and theophylline. None of these substances affected the activity of the Ca+ +-stimulated ATPase.
